Narrative Description
“Reverse Chernobyl†is an interactive game simulating the situation of 25/26 April 1986 at Chernobyl nuclear plant when the explosion occurred. Players will go back to 1986 and become the character “Vladâ€, an engineer who was on duty for the test at the day. The goal is to reverse the deadly explosion and make an ending different from what happened in the real history. The story path is decided by players’ choice and could lead to five different endings. It takes approximately 8 minutes for players to fully finish the game, depending on different choices and endings. The story-telling is realised through a reality-based collection of word description, video, picture, graphic interchange format, comics and background music, which provides an immersive experience to players. The script is adapted from BBC News’ in-depth report “Chernobyl: 20 years onâ€.
